Time limits for sex abuse victims to seek compensation should be abolished

DBH Lawyers has called for the scrapping of time limits for child sex abuse victims who want to sue their attackers.

Under current laws, most victims have just 3 years to take legal action.

Yet, it can take people two to three decades before they have built up enough courage to come forward and talk about the traumas they have faced.

Both Victoria and New South Wales are moving to abolish time limits.
