Hayley began working for DBH in 2008 as a Legal Assistant. In 2011 she was promoted to the position of Law Clerk and began studying part-time for a Bachelor of Laws, which she completed in July 2017. Hayley subsequently completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and was admitted to the Supreme Court of South Australia in 2017.
During her career with DBH, Hayley has gained extensive experience in handling claims for Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) and has become the firm’s expert in this area. Hayley has a solid understanding of the technicalities of noise induced hearing loss on a medical level, an excellent understanding of the relevant law, and experience in dealing with the complexities which can arise throughout the NIHL claims process.
Hayley’s other area of speciality is Total and Permanent Disablement (TPD). Hayley has received expert training in the complex area of superannuation law and has developed an excellent understanding of the TPD claims process, whilst gaining valuable experience in dealing with Insurers and Trustees. She has developed a highly efficient system for processing claims and recognises the importance of assessing each claim on its individual merits.
