If you are made redundant you may wish to seek advice about the following:

  • Have I been paid correctly?
  • Was it a genuine redundancy?
  • If not, can I pursue an unfair dismissal application?

The Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) National Employment Standards sets out the minimum standards for employment including the amount payable for notice and redundancy.

The amount payable to you will depend on your years of service with additional payment if you are over 45.

If you are employed under an Enterprise Agreement or an award the entitlements may differ from the National Employment Standards.
