As a group of like-minded professionals from Adelaide are gearing up for the gruelling challenge of riding from Adelaide to Melbourne, they are reminded that the physical pain will be nothing compared to the challenges faced by CanTeen members.

DBH Lawyers is proud to be partnering with CanTeen for the inaugural Road Raise – a 6 day charity bike ride from Adelaide to Melbourne with the money raised going towards helping SA youth who are affected by cancer.

A function was held last night at the spectacular Triple M offices where riders and supporters of the DBH Road Raise gathered to raise money for the event.

During the evening, the group heard the personal, heartfelt story of Kelsey, a young CanTeen member who had lost her father to cancer.

It was a sobering reminder to the riding group that the reason they are participating in the event is to help provide services for people like Kelsey who need support during what is probably the most challenging time in their life to date.

The riders were inspired and the supporters of the event gave generously.

The event last night saw the fundraising tally tip to just over $50,000 and now halfway towards the $100,000 target for the event.
