Pathology error may spark medical negligence claims

DBH has moved swiftly after the weekend’s news of a pathology error that gave at least 100 men false reports indicating they had prostate cancer.

The testing blunder has caused enormous stress for the men and their families with some waiting several weeks for further testing to provide the “all clear”.

The State’s Health Minister, Jack Snelling has ordered a full independent inquiry while we strongly suggest that if you or someone you know has been involved in this, that you make urgent contact with a lawyer as there may be a medical negligence claim.
